Emily’s Story
Hello, I’m Emily Brooks-Wilkening!
I discovered my love for literature and writing at a young age; reading fiction novels was one of my favorite pastimes as a child. Eventually, my love for reading grew into an equally passion-fueled love for writing creative short stories. As time progressed and I wrote more expository and persuasive works for my studies, I quickly learned that I love writing in these genres as well.
I attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to earn my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and shortly began my professional career in the technology space. I made my way into working as a technical writer and copywriter for SKB Cyber, a technology startup based in Peoria, IL.
Now, I am supporting small businesses, startups, personal brands, and individual artists as a writer and copywriter with EBW Writing! It is an honor helping small businesses grow and helping individuals see their creative visions through.
